Facebook consists of grunts, gripes, images of pets, and postings of images of funny pictures with funny comments; in short no real content that does one any good except Facebook that may or may not be making money from all the silly posts by users who could better utilize their time by posting the same stuff to Google+, making Google money. I use facebook for crap and google+ for more serious stuff, sort of.

Goodwill shopping - cheese cutter

Goodwill shopping
   I shop Goodwill several times a week with Michelle, she drives. I look for useful cooking and kitchen stuff, Michelle buys candles, bottles stuffed with peppers and flowers from Italy, baskets, stuffed animals and the list goes on. She does look for pants for work and that is good. Today I missed the cheese cutter but Michelle did spot it and asked if I wanted it, at $2.50, yes was the answer. Has a cast iron base.

"properly annealed in a digital kiln." You can say this until the cows come home. This is not a guarantee, even though most people would think it is implicit in the statement. A properly performed annealing cycle is important but what may there be in the glass that would prompt the cows to stay away from home? Pretty simple; all materials as far as I know shrink and expand at different rates including different types of glass and their associated colors and taking this into account, you may have conflict with the clear of a certain type of glass and its colors associated with the clear. the colors will have COE's that will differ higher or lower than the clear thus setting up a conflict. The finished "properly annealed in a digital kiln" will have some stress in the glass. These pieces will be just fine down the road. However you may decide a piece of glass that lived just fine on the sideboard for many years until you decided that it would look even better in the south facing bay window. What would be wrong with this... you now have put the glass in a new environment where there may be higher and lower cycles of heat, stresses that may crack the glass even though it was annealed properly!

Afghan and US forces are now equally trained

So, depending on who you believe in our government we have trained Afghan army trainees up to speed or are not up to speed. I suddenly realized that the Afghan forces are read to go. Who started what does not matter. I believe that with the latest killings, by the Sarge, alleged killings, that the forces have been trained up to our level or down to the Afghan level thus we are equal... mission accomplished! What does one do when a job is done, uh, leave the job. We are not going to solve the tit for tat reprisals committed on both sides.

Michelle's youngest son has run away from home with his girlfriend. They are heading SE to a lot warmer climate. OH, I forgot to mention that he left a wife and baby at home, at least he waited a couple days before he took up with someone new, honest-to-goodness, he is swell like that, considerate and loyal to the end.
